David Carradine was found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok Thailand yesterday. Some news outlets are indicating it may have been a suicide. Carradine lived a truly robust life of hard drinking, smoking and the occasional peyote trip. Hollywood pundits have remarked that Carradine was not cut out for the stardom he found. He openly lampooned studio executives as "Sheep with corporate credit cards" - His career was defined by a series of peaks where he was able to join the "A" list, only to willingly hang it up and walk away to semi-obscurity. Regardless of his star level, this rugged individualist never lost his cool. David Carradine, we salute you. |

I went to the premiere of "The Happening" this weekend. I will not waist time in telling you this movie is one of the most horrible movies ever made, for fear that you may not read this far down and miss this very important message. That being communicated, I will defer you to this review. |

I was reminded today how hard Mike Giant represents. I fully dig all the black line work he does. The guy is also super down for bike culture. Prints are available at his website. There is a documentary in the works that follows two groups of surfers; one of Israeli Jews and one of Muslim Palestinians through Gaza and Israel. It is called God Went Surfing With the Devil.
