The Kaufmann House is considered one of Richard Neutra's greatest masterpieces. Yet less than 15 years ago it was for sale and under consideration as a tear down. The explosion of interest in Modernism and all things Mid-Century has moved this Palm Springs landmark back into the spotlight. Set to be auctioned off at Christie's in May; Architecture aficionados are estimating the sale at between 20 to 30 million dollars. Check out a slide show tour of the property here. |

Each year, between three and five thousand people are buried in a mass grave. Believe it or not, this is the fate of those who can't afford a conventional funeral and burial or have no one willing to do so .
